Kelly also have motives to kill those five prostitutes because he hates women especially prostitutes. he hates prostitutes because his mother left him to live with her grandmother as she wanted to be a prostitute. Not only that, the things became worse when he was a bachelor he was trapped by a prostitutes whereas his faith forbid him to have sex before married.
The character of James Kelly make him as Jake the Ripper because he worked as a furniture upholsterer and the jog requires people who is expert in handling knife. in addition, the letter from hell also written by a very disturbed individual.
moreover, Ed Norris also have the chance to reopen the case book of jack the Ripper as well as to read Kelly's journal which contain the evidence that he is the real jack the ripper.
The case became interesting when Kelly voluntarily enter the asylum again. not only that, the the most solid evidence is when Kelly was in an army, his number is 4677 = hell.
